Sebastian’s new image… XD Oh dear! (yes, pun intended)
Kuroshitsuji’s artwork is ridiculously sloppy at times. I’ve noticed it in season 1, but episode 14 is just too blatant for me to ignore. There are moments when the artwork just completely collapsed and look like some still scrawling you can find in a 2nd grader’s art file. Check these out.
What did you do to Agni’s face!!!!

WTH. Seriously. I hate it whenever the anime is being outsourced to countries like Korea or China and they made a mess out of the drawings. That’s why I believe in PURCHASING anime/manga products whenever they are made available on the market. You gotta support before these animation companies and managaka go bust! God… these screen caps are so hideous.
Ok, fangirl rage aside, I’m really digging the new opening and ending of Kuroshitsuji. There isn’t much changes to the OP except for using the second part of Monochrome Kiss and additional gothic images of Sebastian (looking really sinister) and naked (yay!) Ciel. The darker elements are even more pronounced now that the ED has changed to Kalafina’s LACRIMOSA which I must say, is BRILLIANT. “I’m ALIVE” by BECCA was cute with the adorable chibis, but I prefer the new ED much much more. The music has strong symphonic and choral elements, which kinda reminds me of Ali Project but I think Kalafina is easier to the ears than Ali Project. I really like the group’s voices. One’s smooth and operatic while the other’s strong and bright. The genre that this girl group sings is interesting too. The music is always lyrical, haunting at the beginning before it escalates into a grand symphonic chorus. I really dig it. The ending theme fits beautifully into the picture of Sebastian steering the gondola with Ciel lying deathlike in a bed of white roses… it gives me the chills… which is always good. =D
Picturesque in Goth…
Additional OP images

This is a reeeallly creepy smile, Sebastian…

Edgar Allen Poe. It’s such a gothic moment! Moon, sea, boats and a foreboding silhouette of a castle!!!

Another thing I like about Kuroshitsuji is seeing a brooding but unresistably cute shota bishie gets carried and glomped every now and then against his will. His is such a uke. *sniggers*

As for the parting shot, I thought I should add this… This is so reminiscent of…

He powers up…

And he fires…
Dragon Ballz. Yes, this is so Dragon Ball. Haha… sometime I wonder all these similarities… are they mere coincidences or are they clever spoofs? Well, only the producers know.
